- Safeguard your store, and deter shoplifting. An EAS system will give you peace of mind. Based on proven Radio Frequency (RF) technology, the Vector system is known for its reliability and versatility. When merchandise that has been tagged with either bar code labels or plastic hard tags enters within a 3 ft (labels) to 4 ft (hard tags) radius on either side of the transceiver upright post at your front entrance, an audible signal is transmitted, and a red light on the upright post flashes. Only merchandise that has been labeled or tagged will activate the signal (not cell phones, walkmans, radios, etc). 8.2 MHz system comes complete with users guide and one integrated deactivator pad to deactivate bar code labels at checkout counter. A plastic hard tag detacher tool (sold separately) is also available for quick and easy removal of hard tags from merchandise.
